Our Indy Garden

Welcome to our Indy Garden! We take great pride in making our garden as tranquil and eye catching as possible for our service users, visitors and the public to see. Our garden consists of amazing statues to even growing our own fruit and veg that we use to cook healthy dishes. We have grown strawberries, carrots, and now even pumpkins as Halloween is fast approaching! We understand the importance of healthy eating and sometimes, with the fresh food grown from our garden, we make lovely dishes for our pantry users and service users to enjoy. We are also going to start doing community days in our garden so keep an eye out for more information on that!

Recently, the Independence Initiative enrolled into the ‘Bootle in bloom’ contest. This is a contest to see who can make the most appealing garden in the region. To see more about the ‘in bloom’ competition click here. Our staff and service users put loads of time and effort into this garden and the outcome has just been fantastic! Our garden is the first thing you see when visiting the Independence Initiative and we understand the importance of a good first impression!
