What a brilliant day for the Liverpool Indy Team! Our lads have officially finished second in the Championship Division at this year’s Spirit of Merseyside League Presentation Ceremony and we couldn’t be prouder!
The Spirit of Merseyside League isn’t just about football, it’s about having a laugh, looking out for each other and being part of something bigger. Week after week, the lads have shown up, given it their all and flying the flag for The Indy both on and off the pitch.
A huge thank you to the Liverpool Homeless Football Club for their continued support and for hosting and coordinating the league. They’ve created such an incredible space for everyone involved, promoting not only physical wellbeing but friendship and belonging too.
The celebrations didn’t stop at the final whistle either! Spud Bros kept everyone fuelled with a delicious free lunch and to top it all off, awards were presented by none other than Anthony Russell (X Factor star) and Chris Kirkland from the LFC Foundation.
We’re so proud of our team, every player has shown commitment and heart and this 2nd place finish is a brilliant achievement. Here’s to more matches, more teamwork and maybe even a championship title next time!
