We’ve got some really nice news to share – we’ve bought a new house on Mildmay Road!
The house will give us some extra space for transitional accommodation, which means we can support more people as they work towards living independently.
For us, that’s the really exciting part.
A place to take the next step
We know that moving towards independent living can take time. Having somewhere safe and comfortable to live while you build your confidence and get things in place can make that next step feel much more manageable.
That’s what our transitional housing is there for.
With Mildmay Road now joining our homes, we’ll have 25 transitional housing beds, giving more people the chance to have that support while they work towards a place of their own.
A big Thank You
We also want to say a huge thank you to Big Issue Invest, whose funding made it possible for us to purchase the house.
Their support means we can continue growing what we offer and, most importantly, give more people the opportunity to have a safe place to live while they work towards what’s next.
We’re looking forward to seeing it become a home
There’s still work to do to get the house ready, but we’re really looking forward to seeing it come together.
Most importantly, we’re looking forward to the people who will eventually call Mildmay Road home.
It’s another house, another opportunity and another step forward for The Indy – and we’re really proud of that.
