Funding From Sefton CVS And Warm Spaces

Thanks to funding from Sefton CVS and the Warm Spaces – Sefton scheme, the Indy can announce we will be providing a hub every Thursday (11.00 am to 4.00 pm) from mid-November 2022 to March 2023. We aim to create a welcoming, non-exclusive, drop-in hub atmosphere where people can relax, interact socially, enjoy games, films, hot and cold food (including vegetarian options) and drinks.  As a partner in this wonderful scheme, we promise to adhere to the “Sefton Warm Space Charter” at all times. Details are set out below, and the Indy will honour these to the letter

Sefton Warm Space Charter

You will get a warm welcome as well as a Warm Space. Every time you come to a Warm Space you’ll be given a warm and friendly welcome from the staff and volunteers there.

Everyone is treated equally, with dignity and respect

Everyone has a right to be warm. Everyone in a Warm Space treats people with dignity and respect.

Your Warm Space will be a safe space

Your Warm Space will be upholding safeguarding policies that it always uses.

We will not tell anyone about you needing a Warm Space

If you want to share the reasons you need a Warm Space, someone will listen, but they won’t tell anyone else unless you give them permission, or they must because of their safeguarding policies.

It doesn’t matter why you need a Warm Space

Every Warm Space is a non-judgemental space; whatever the reason you have for needing to come in, you’ll be treated the same and never judged.

FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON TWITTER, FACEBOOK,
