Independence Initiative volunteer Freya White was awarded Sefton’s Young Volunteer award for 2023!
Freya is an inspiration and a role model to all young people in Sefton. She constantly has a smile on her face and offers a warm and friendly welcome to all people she interacts with. One of Freya’s best attributes is her ability to be a self starter and completes any task she is asked to do. Freya joined the Independence Initiative soon after finishing her GCSE’s at school and as well as volunteering here, she also volunteers on weekends refereeing football games as part of her college degree. Not only this, but Freya also works part time in a busy retail shop yet still makes the time to volunteer and help us out here. Freya also recently completed the run for the 97 raising almost £500 for charity. It is fair to say she deserved this award!
We are all so proud of Freya and she continues to inspire us all here at the Indy group.
Well done, Freya!
