We’ve got some brilliant news to share… one of our very own residents has been recognised at the Sefton Good Citizen Awards!
The Sefton Good Citizen Awards are a recognition scheme in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton that celebrates individuals who have made a positive impact on their community. It’s a joint initiative between Sefton CVS and the Mayor of Sefton’s Office and it’s all about shining a light on people who go the extra mile for others.
Robert is a perfect example of that. He’s worked incredibly hard on his own recovery, personal growth and his positivity is something that rubs off on those around him. Whether it’s encouraging others, getting stuck into activities or just having a good chat in the kitchen, he’s always setting a great example.
Seeing him recognised in front of the community was a proud moment for all of us here at The Independent Initiative. It’s not just about the award itself, but what it represents, the hard work, the determination and the way Robert lifts up the people around him.
Well done, Robert, you’ve done yourself (and all of us) proud!
