At the beginning of the month on September 1st, the Indy pantry celebrated our 1 year anniversary of being open! The day was brilliant and we had plenty of amazing prizes to give back to the wonderful community that keeps us going.
We opened our pantry to try and offer support to our community during a time of uncertainty and worry. We know shopping and food prices have sky rocketed and we want to help alleviate peoples worry in this difficult period. It started off really small with about 20/30 people a day but now we have over 300 members and up to 60 weekly shoppers and we are growing more and more every week! You can find more about our pantry work here.

The day had loads of lovely surprises including a special guest from the High Sheriff of Merseyside, Ms Lesley Martin Wright! (pic here). Ms Wright drew the winning raffle tickets which prizes included: A family ticket for 4 at the plaza, 2 x £20 salon vouchers at the L20 Salon, Tubs of chocolates (thanks to Tesco), 2 sets of family tickets at the Climbing hanger, and many, many more prizes! We would like to say a massive congratulations to all our lucky winners and we hope you enjoy your prizes!
Lastly, we would like to thank our wonderful community for keeping us going and giving us the chance to be able to give back to this community. Without you all, none of this would be possible. Also a massive thank you to all our prize donators. Here’s to another year of the Indy Pantry!
