What We’ve Been Up To Lately

It’s been a busy couple of months here at The Indy, filled with day trips, fitness sessions and community events. We wanted to share a few of the highlights!

From our residents, volunteers and staff getting involved in activities to making memories together, there’s been plenty happening and even more reasons to smile.

A Trip to Bury Market

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic day out to Bury Market, where we picked up some great bargains, enjoyed the atmosphere and treated ourselves to some delicious food. It was a brilliant opportunity to get out, spend time together and support local traders.

Exploring Llangollen

We also headed to beautiful Llangollen for another great day trip. A change of scenery, some fresh air and quality time together made for a lovely day, with lots of laughs and plenty of memories made along the way.

Run to Anfield

One of our favourite moments was taking part in Run to Anfield. It was fantastic to see everyone supporting one another and getting involved in such a positive community event. A special mention to our little Liam, grandson of one of our Indy Pantry customers, who proudly completed the 1K run after the 5K.

Boxercise at Derry Mathews’ Gym

We’ve also been raising our fitness levels with a brilliant boxercise session at Derry Mathews’ Gym at Jubilee Sports Centre. The session was full of energy, teamwork and encouragement, and it was a great reminder that staying active is about much more than exercise… it’s about confidence, wellbeing and connection too.

More Than Just Activities

What links all of these moments together is the sense of community they create. Whether we’re exploring somewhere new, taking on a challenge or trying a new activity, it’s the connections, confidence and shared experiences that matter most.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved, supported us or joined us along the way. We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring!
